Dingo's story
Dingo came to us from a large city/county shelter. Dingo had only a number for identification, and he had a euthanasia date. It seems that black dogs are so common they often don't have a good survival rate in overcrowded shelters. Dingo was very fearful when he first came to us, but after a couple days of exploring the big yard and being able to roll in the grass, he relaxed a bit. We realized that Dingo can be fearful of new situations, so we sent Dingo to two weeks of training to help him with this issue. Dingo has learned that almost everyone who visits him is good and he loves to roll on his back, accept belly rubs, and play the clown. Dingo, does however, still exhibit fear of certain men. For this reason we think that a single woman with dog experience and with no young children or other dogs would be a perfect home for this happy, funny, but a little bit insecure dog.
We believe Dingo is a Welsh Corgi mix - he has those beautiful big ears and solid body - weighs about 60 pounds and he is about 8 years. Dingo is neutered, up to date with vaccinations, on heartworm preventative and microchipped. Suggested adoption donation for Dingo is $150.
